Aegyptopithecus   An extinct ape that lived in Egypt 35 million years ago. It was about 60 cm (2 ft) long and walked on four legs. It is believed to be an ancestor of today’s Old World monkeys—monkeys from Africa and Asia with relatively short, inflexible tails and nostrils that are very close together.
