Refugees arrive on Lesbos (Photo: Ggia)The UN refugee agency, UNHCR, has called for the urgent evacuation of families and sick people from the Moria camp on the Greek Aegean island of Lesbos. The camp is housing refugees arriving mostly from Afghanistan and Syria, but also migrants from other parts of the Middle East and Africa. Boats continue to arrive on Lesbos, crossing the short stretch of the Aegean Sea from Turkey, sending more families into desperately overcrowded conditions in Moria and other camps.
